Maggie is a beautiful and very photogenic 3 year-old Border Collie/Lab mix female who was surrendered to a county dog shelter in late November due to a divorce. She was understandably sad and confused at the shelter at first having lost the only home she’d ever known. The shelter staff was especially fond of Maggie and sought to find a rescue to give her the time she needed to relax and find herself a great new home. She came to us in mid-January and has been an absolute dream dog in her foster home. Maggie gets along beautifully with other dogs and loves to play chase and wrestle with her fellow foster dogs. She would certainly enjoy having a canine pal in her new home. Maggie has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She walks very nicely on a leash and will sit for a treat. This girl is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. She’s got a great attitude and a real enthusiasm for life! Maggie weighs about 47 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Maggie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
