Maggie is a very sweet and loving 5-6 year-old Chihuahua who was found as a stray. Given her tiny stature, she was very lucky to have been found before something horrible happened to her. When she wasn’t claimed at the shelter, she came to Canine Lifeline to be able to enjoy loads of TLC in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. Maggie loves nothing better than snuggling on her foster mom’s lap! That is truly her favorite spot and she can jump up on the couch herself. She can be a little nervous at first about being picked up until she’s comfortable with someone new. Maggie has gotten along well with the other two small dogs in her foster home and generally just ignores them. This little girl is a real foodie and comes running when it’s mealtime. She loves the cozy bed in her crate and sleeps through the night with no issues. At first, she was nervous about going outside but she is doing much better with that and is now going to the door to wait to go outside to do her business. Maggie has also started to feel comfortable enough to go on short walks. She’s a little doll who is looking for someone who wants a little snuggle buddy! Maggie weighs about 7 pounds and her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Since coming to Canine Lifeline, Maggie has had a dental cleaning with a number of extractions so she is feeling so much better and has a great appetite. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
