Maguire-ADOPTED!

Looking for a big, active pup to keep you on your toes? Our Maguire definitely fits the bill and is up to the task. This very friendly and sociable 7 month-old Lab mix has a gorgeous soft and wavy coat along with a fabulous disposition. He was found as a stray as a puppy and survived parvo when he was about 8 weeks old. He lived with his rescuer until recently when she could no longer keep him and he was taken to a local shelter. From there, he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could work on finding himself the perfect new home. Maguire has never met a stranger and has gotten along well with all people and other dogs he’s met since coming to us. He loves toys but may have lived as an only dog previously as he’s just learning how much fun it is to wrestle and play chase with his fellow foster dogs. Maguire knows the sit command and is eager to learn lots more with a new family. He has had little leash training at this point so is going to need work in that area. Using an Easy Walk Harness as he works on his leash skills will make walking him much easier. Maguire has had excellent crate manners in his foster home and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee that. This pup is going to make a fantastic companion for the active person or family who has the time and energy to work with an enthusiastic, exuberant young pup. Maguire weighs about 57 pounds currently but is stlll growing and is likely to be 70+ pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $300. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Maguire. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
