If you’re a fan of Puggles, you’re going to love our Malcolm, a happy-go-lucky 3.5 year-old whose enthusiasm for life and everything fun is contagious! Malcolm came to Canine Lifeline to find himself a new home when his family’s health problems prevented them from providing him with the exercise, attention, and playtime that he needed. He was very well cared for in his previous home and comes with a great resume. Malcolm is housetrained (maybe an accident or two as he gets used to his new home but he picks up new routines quickly), crate-trained, and very friendly with all dogs and people that he meets. Although there were no cats in his previous home, he even met the resident kitty at the vet clinic nose to nose and seemed fine with her too. He knows a number of commands including sit, down, lay, and shake hands among others. Malcolm is a BIG Puggle weighing in at 37 pounds—he’s not overweight, just very solid and muscular. He reminds us more of a Beabull (English Bulldog/Beagle mix) than he does a Puggle with his little bobtail and solid build. When Malcolm is happy (which is almost all the time!), he does a full-body wag which is very charming. Malcolm LOVES toys of all kinds and will go home with a number of them that his previous family sent along. He especially loves playing soccer with his Jolly Balls and Jolly Eggs but, honestly, we don’t think he’s ever met a toy he doesn’t like. Malcolm also loves to play fetch so it’s very easy to keep him entertained. Although he was the only dog in his previous home, Malcolm has really enjoyed playing with his fellow foster dogs so would probably enjoy having a canine pal or two in his new home. Malcolm walks nicely on a leash and is looking forward to fun-filled days in his new home. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Malcolm. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
