Manny-ADOPTED!

Manny is a 2 year-old Great Pyrenees male and a real gentle giant. He was picked up by animal control in Sulphur OK with his pal Hugh after they were hanging around an apartment complex playing with some kids. When no one claimed them at the pound, a Great Pyr rescue in KY was contacted for help with them. They made the trip from OK to KY and from there came north to Canine Lifeline to have more time to find a new home. Sadly, Manny tested positive for heartworms and needed to go through lifesaving treatment after arriving here with us. Manny began his two month-long treatment in mid-December and, after two months of crate rest, is now ready to find himself a great new home. This sweet boy gets along very well with other dogs and has been very friendly with every person that he’s met. He is a big guy who looks even larger than his 80 pounds. He has excellent crate manners so picking up the housetraining routine in a new home should be easy for him. Great Pyrenees are a breed like no other so if you’re not familiar with this breed, please take the time to read about them at the following link to make sure you’ve got the right home for one before filling out an application. (https://www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed). Manny will need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. He will also need a secure fixed fenced yard (no invisible fence). His adoption fee is $200. Manny’s neutered, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Manny. An approved application is required before we set up meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Manny’s heartworm treatment cost about $650. If you’d like to make a donation to help with his care so that we can save another dog in the future, please do so on our website at www.caninelifeline.org or by sending a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Manny and Canine Lifeline!
