Marco is a very friendly and outgoing 3 year-old Terrier mix male who came into an overcrowded county dog shelter in poor condition back in August. He was very thin with itchy, scabby skin likely due to an untreated flea allergy that must have been going on for quite some time. From the shelter, he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could get the medical attention he needed. After several weeks of medicated baths and some oral antibiotics to treat the skin infection, Marco’s skin began to heal. His coat has now completely grown back and he looks fantastic. In addition to looking so much better, Marco feels great and must be so thrilled to have put the sad days of neglect behind him. This little guy loves everyone he meets, both people and other dogs. He enjoys playing and then curling up on a comfy bed for a nap once playtime is over. Marco walks nicely on a leash and trots along now like he’s just won Westminster, showing off his beautiful red coat. He does well in his crate so ought to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. Marco is really looking forward to becoming someone’s pampered pup and a treasured family member. He weighs about 17 pounds and his adoption fee is $325. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Marco. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
