Marcy-ADOPTED!

Marcy is a 1-2 year-old black and white beauty whose breed mix is anyone’s guess. She’s a great size at only about 32 pounds and looks like she might have some Beagle, Pointer, or Cattledog in her family tree. Marcy found herself homeless at a rural county dog shelter so we have no history on her pre-shelter life. She made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for a permanent new home. Marcy has been friendly with all people and dogs that she’s met since coming to us. She has done well with crate manners in her foster home so we expect she should be able to master the house rules in her new home without too much trouble. It seems that walking on a leash is something new for Marcy as she likes to charge ahead without regard for the person on the other end of the leash. She will need work in that area and will do best when walking on a harness. We’re sure with some daily practice that she’ll soon be walking like a pro and be a great walking, hiking, jogging or trail buddy for an active person or family. Marcy met the resident kitty at the vet clinic and didn’t show any adverse reaction to her but given her suspected breed mix, she may enjoy chasing cats so might do best in a kitty-free home. Marcy will sit for a treat and is eager to learn lots more in her new home. Marcy weighs about 32 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Marcy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
