Mary Jane-ADOPTED!

Mary Jane is a very friendly and outgoing 4-5 year-old girl who is built like a Bulldog with her short legs and barrel-chested stance. She found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while searching for her ideal permanent home. The shelter called Mary Jane a Boxer mix and while there may be a little bit of Boxer in her family tree, this girl is a true mixed-up mutt—the very best kind of dog! Mary Jane LOVES meeting people and is always eager to get comfy in someone’s lap or flop over for a belly rub. This funny girl refused to smile for the camera preferring to show us her serious side but she usually has a big smile on her face and a full body wag for her friends. We have found that she can be a little particular about her dog friends. She seems to prefer the company of calm male dogs and hasn’t been eager to share her space with other female dogs. As affectionate and attentive as she is to her human friends, she would likely love being the only dog in her new home so she can have all the attention from her people. Mary Jane has had excellent house manners in her foster home—not a single accident and she quickly takes care of business when she is outdoors. She is very happy in her crate with a chew toy and a ball and enjoys rearranging her bedding to get things the most comfy. Mary Jane loves going for walks and does quite well with a harness although she will pull if a squirrel is in view. This sweetheart has had many litters of pups in her life but she’s clearly ready to become someone’s pampered pup from here on out. We know once you meet her you’re going to as smitten with her as we are! Mary Jane weighs about 35 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Mary Jane. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
