Maverick-ADOPTED!

If you’re looking for an active young dog who is up for lots of adventures, you’re going to want to meet Maverick. This 11 month-old pup looks to be a mix of Aussie or Border Collie and has the energy and spunk consistent with his likely breed mix. We have no history on Maverick’s previous life as he was transferred to a humane society from a high-kill county dog shelter and from there, made his way to us so he would have more time to find the perfect new home. Although Maverick has excellent crate manners and settles down nicely in his crate after playtime, he is no couch potato and is going to need a very active family to keep him busy. He does get along well with other dogs so would enjoy having an another active young dog to pal around with. Maverick’s very friendly with people but a little too enthusiastic so will need to work on his manners and learn that all good things come to pups when all four paws are on the floor. He’s a sweet boy who’s eager to learn and just needs a person or family who has the time and energy to make him the best dog he can be. Maverick weighs about 28 pounds but is thin and will likely be 35 pounds or so when at his ideal weight. His adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Maverick. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
