Looking for a fun-loving canine buddy with a great attitude? That’s our Maybelle, an adorable 1 year-old your-guess-is-as-good-as-ours mix who loves everyone and everything. This little lady found herself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have the opportunity to have a second chance at a happy life. The shelter labeled this girl as a Black Lab/Bulldog mix to take into account both her Lab-like coat and her short, stocky physique so we’ll go with that. Maybelle never meets a stranger—all people and other dogs are fast friends. She’s very animated and playful so if there’s a canine buddy in her new home it would have to be one who enjoys lots of activity. Maybelle does jump up on people for attention so is going to some work on her canine manners. She’s very eager to please though so will soon understand that all good things come to dogs who keep all four paws on the ground. This cutie walks pretty well on a leash but is going to need some work on housetraining. She would benefit from having a yard with a secure aboveground fence so she can run and play to her heart’s content. Maybelle weighs about 32 pounds and her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Maybelle. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
