This photogenic, camera-friendly Border Collie/Lab mix pup is Maybelle. She’s about 6 months-old and still growing into her long legs. Maybelle found herself homeless at an overcrowded dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to find herself the perfect new home. Maybelle is a high-energy girl who loves people and enjoys showering her human friends with lots of kisses. She seems to have had a little bit of training as she walks fairly well on a leash and will sit for a treat. Maybelle has done fine off-leash with the other dogs in her foster home but we’ve seen her be a little growly when meeting new dogs on a leash. This is something her new family may need to work with her on. Maybelle met the resident kitty at the vet clinic and didn’t really react to her so may be fine in a home with cats. She is working on crate-training and housetraining in her foster home and will need to continue both in her new home. She does well if she can get outside during the day about every four hours or so. Maybelle would love to have a big fenced yard to romp in and someone who will take her on lots of fun hikes and other adventures. Maybelle weighs about 25 pounds but is thin and still growing so we expect she’ll be about 40 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Maybelle. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
