Mellie-ADOPTED!

What a great puppy and doesn’t she look fabulous in pearls!?! Mellie is a 10 week-old Border Collie/Beagle mix female who was found as a stray all by herself and taken to a local shelter. No one claimed her so she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time and find the perfect new home. This is one very smart girl! We’ve been amazed at how quickly she picks up new routines. Mellie has done very well with crate-training and we expect she’ll pick up the housetraining rules quickly in her new home. She LOVES playing with her fellow foster pups so would enjoy having another playful dog in her new home. The sky’s the limit for this girl so we’re looking for a family who’ll want to teach her lots of things, perhaps even try agility with her when she’s older and had some basic obedience under her belt. She’s looking to explore the whole wide world with her new family and have loads of great new adventures. Mellie weighs about 11 pounds currently and we expect she’ll be about 30-40 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Mellie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
