This sweet girl with such beautiful markings and the cute little bobtail is Miranda. She’s about a year-old but her breed mix is truly anyone’s guess. There might be a little Catahoula Leopard Dog, Cattledog, Rat Terrier and who knows what else in her family tree! She’s truly the best of many breeds mixed together. Miranda found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would be able to relax in a foster home while searching for a permanent new home. She gets along very well with other dogs and plays nicely with her fellow foster dogs. Miranda seems to enjoy the companionship of people even more though as she is definitely a lap snuggler. She was with us at our recent reunion picnic and as soon as anyone sat down, Miranda would immediately be in their lap ready for some snuggling. Miranda may need a refresher on housetraining in her new home. She does well in a crate in her foster home as long as she can go outside about every 4 hours or so during the day. She wouldn’t enjoy being left alone for long workdays so a midday dog walker or doggie daycare would definitely be to her liking. This little girl is definitely going to turn a lot of heads when she’s out for a walk. Her new family might want to invest in a doggie DNA test so they can answer that age-old question—what kind of dog is that??? Miranda weighs about 20 pounds but is thin and needs to gain a few pounds to be at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Miranda. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
