Miranda-ADOPTED!

This sweet girl with such beautiful markings and the little bobtail is Miranda. She’s about a year-old but her breed mix is truly anyone’s guess. There might be a little Catahoula Leopard Dog, Cattledog, Rat Terrier and who knows what else in her family tree! She’s truly the best of many breeds mixed together. Miranda found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would be able to relax in a foster home while searching for a permanent new home. She gets along very well with other dogs and plays nicely with her fellow foster dogs. Miranda seems to enjoy the companionship of people even more though as she is definitely a lap snuggler. She was with us at our recent reunion picnic and as soon as anyone sat down, Miranda would immediately be in their lap ready for some snuggling. Miranda has done well with housetraining and will let her foster mom know when she has to go outside. She does well in a crate when no one is home as well. Miranda is an active young dog so wouldn’t enjoy being left alone for long workdays so a midday dog walker or doggie daycare would definitely be to her liking. This little girl is definitely going to turn a lot of heads when she’s out for a walk. Her new family might want to invest in a doggie DNA test so they can answer that age-old question—what kind of dog is that??? Her foster mom has been teaching Miranda to catch a frisbee and she seems to be a natural at it. She’s very athletic so also might like trying agility once she has some basic obedience mastered. She is a quick learner and wlll sit for a treat on command. Miranda weighs about 20 pounds but is thin and needs to gain a pound or two to be at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Miranda. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
