Monroe is an adorable little Heinz-57 puppy who was born on Nov 18. Her mom Lacey came to us a week before as a very pregnant stray from a shelter and, after a week in her foster home, gave birth to Monroe and her 7 brothers and 1 sister. Lacey is a small dog at only about 20 pounds and a very sweet and loving girl who took great care of her pups. Her breed mix is anyone’s guess but she may have some Beagle and Terrier in the mix. Since we have no idea who dad is, it’s hard to predict how big Monroe will be once full-grown. She weighed 5.8 pounds on 1-18-18 when she was about 9 weeks old. Monroe definitely looks like her mama who is pictured in two of the photos posted here (lighter dog with black dog bone bandana). Monroe is currently enjoying life in a foster home along with 5 of her brothers and 1 sister. She has been living with a large dog and some kitties too so is used to being around both. Monroe is a little shy but loves her siblings and her foster family. She is working on housetraining in her foster home and doing well with that. She has also learned how to sit for a treat–good girl!! Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations for his age including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Monroe. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
