Mya is a gorgeous 1 year-old Beagle/Doxie mix with a long body and short legs whose pretty markings and one blue eye suggest there might be a little Aussie in her family tree too. She and her sister Diamond were found abandoned and when they weren’t claimed at the local shelter, they made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could work on finding wonderful new homes. Diamond has been adopted but Mya is still looking for her forever home. She can be a little shy in new situations but once she feels comfortable somewhere, her inner puppy comes out and she’s a very, silly playful girl. Mya loves belly rubs and will flop over for one within moments of meeting someone new. She loves playing with kids but may be a little shy initially around men. Mya can be wary around other dogs and doesn’t seem interested in playing with them. She loves toys and can keep herself entertained with them. Mya forms very strong attachments to her people and doesn’t like to be left alone. She does fine sleeping in her crate in her foster home at night when her people are there but hates the crate if left alone, even if another dog is present. Mya’s ideal home is with a family who is home the majority of the time so she doesn’t have to left alone very often. She can’t wait to experience how wonderful a dog’s life can be in her new home. She walks nicely on a leash and is certainly going to get a lot of compliments on walks in her new neighborhood. Mya weighs about 23 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Mya. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
