Sweet Natalie is a shy but very loving 6 month-old pup who looks like a mix of Border Collie and Lab. She was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter along with her brother Nash (who looks more like a Lab but has a bobtail) and their mom Sage, who looks like a Catahoula mix. While we don’t know who dad is, we think he must have been a Lab or Border Collie mix as Natalie and her brother don’t look anything like their mom Sage. Natalie can be very shy and timid in new situations but is more confident when she’s around another dog. She would excel in a new home where she would have a canine companion to boost her confidence as well as a yard with a secure aboveground fence to keep her safe at home. Leash walking has been a new experience for Natalie but she has been giving it a try and making progress each day. She has done well with crate-training in her foster home and will need to continue that along with housetraining in her new home as she adjusts to the house rules and a new routine. Natalie will blossom under the loving care of a kind and gentle person or family who can give her the time and direction she needs to live her very best life. Natalie weighs about 32 pounds currently and we expect she may be about 45-50 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $375. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Natalie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
