This beauty is Olive, a 1 year-old Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix female. Olive came into a rural county dog shelter as a stray so we have no history on her. She was very frightened at the shelter so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to relax and find a new home. Olive can be shy and timid in new situations but is learning that people can be kind and friendly. She was initially intimidated by the other dogs in her foster home but has now learned that it’s lots of fun to run and play chase with them. Olive does like to be in charge of the other dogs so does best with more submissive dogs. She has done well with crate training in her foster home and should continue that in her new home. Olive hasn’t had much experience on the leash but she has learned quickly that the leash means going outside and having fun. With a little more practice, she’ll soon be walking like a pro. Since she came from a rural area, all the sights and sounds of urban/suburban living are new to her and can be frightening. The ideal home for her is in a more rural area where she has room to relax and enjoy her surroundings. With some patience and love, this dog is going to make an excellent companion. Olive weighs about 48 pounds but she looks larger than that. Her adoption fee is $200. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Olive. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
