Opal-ADOPTED!

Opal is a very friendly and outgoing 3-4 year-old Feist mix who came to us as a pregnant stray in August from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. She gave birth to 9 pups on August 22 in her foster home, did an excellent job raising them, and is now ready to find herself a great home where she can live the life of a pampered pooch. Opal is a very sweet and loyal little dog who forms attachments to new people quickly. She has been an absolute gem in her foster home. Now that her pups have been weaned, she has had done well with crate-training in her foster home and should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. Opal loves playing with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine buddy in her new home. She walks nicely on a leash and will make a great walking, hiking, or jogging buddy for her new family. Opal is now spayed so her days of motherhood are now behind her and she’s ready to live the rest of her life as a treasured family member. Opal weighs about 27 pounds and her adoption fee is $325. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. When she was spayed, Opal had a dental cleaning so she now flashes a pearly white smile. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Opal. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
