If you love Border Collies, you’re going to be head over heels for Ozzie, our little 11 month-old Border Collie mix. This pup was found as a stray and taken to the local shelter but no owner came to claim him. From there, he made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would have more time to work on finding the perfect new home. Ozzie just could not be any more adorable. He loves people and is very kind and affectionate with his human friends. Ozzie gets along very well with the other dogs in his foster home and loves playing chase and wrestling with his pals. He would probably enjoy having a canine buddy to pal around with in his new home but would likely do fine as the only dog in the home provided his family has plenty of time to spend with him. Ozzie’s a quick learner and is sure to excel in an obedience class with his new family. Once he’s mastered some basic obedience, he might like to give agility a try. Ozzie has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He’s going to make a fantastic companion for someone who has the time and energy to devote to an active young dog. Ozzie weighs about 26 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ozzie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
