Patch is an adorable 2 year-old girl who looks like a mix of Aussie, Flat-coated Retriever, and English Shepherd. She looks like a Teddy Bear and is on the short and stocky side weighing in at only about 36 pounds. She and her brother Rubble came to Canine Lifeline after their owners could no longer keep them. Patch is an absolutely delightful little dog who loves her brother Rubble but also gets along well with other dogs that she meets. We would love to see Patch and Rubble adopted together but if that’s not possible, we do want to place Patch in a home with another dog so she has a buddy to play with. Patch is very friendly with people and enjoys as much attention and affection as she can get. Since her photos were taken, she’s been to the groomer for a bath and brushing. She now is bright, shiny, and VERY soft. Patch was very well-behaved for the groomer so it’s likely that she’s used to being pampered. She has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained although we can’t guarantee it. She will sit for a treat and also stand on her hind legs and dance for one. Patch also walks very nicely on a leash. She and Rubble lived with kitties in their previous home so she should be fine in a home with a dog-friendly cat. We know that once you meet this sweet girl, you’re going to be as crazy about her as we are! Patch weighs about 36 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Patch. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
