Paulie-PENDING

This handsome and very photogenic boy is Paulie, a 2 year-old Mountain Cur/Beagle mix male who has a great disposition to go with his sweet face. He found himself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter with few options there for a bright future so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would be able to relax in a foster home while searching for a great new permanent home. While we don’t have any history on Paulie’s pre-shelter life, we have found him to be an outstanding dog who has gotten along well with everyone he’s met since coming to us—both people and other dogs alike. Paulie has done well with crate-training in his foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He seems to be a quick learner and has been able to master new routines with ease. Paulie does need more work on a leash though as he likes to charge ahead when on a walk, and while he’s not a very big dog, he can pull like he’s about to cross the finish line at the Iditarod! Using an Easy Walk Harness with Paulie as he works on his leash skills makes daily walks with him much more enjoyable. He’ll soon learn to slow down and smell the roses when out for a walk with some patient and consistent direction on the part of his new family. Put the time and effort into this sweet young dog and you’ll have a great companion for years to come. Paulie weighs about 32 pounds and his adoption fee is $325. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Paulie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
