Pebbles-ADOPTED!

Pebbles is a gorgeous 11 month-old Husky/Shepherd mix who was found as a stray with another dog who looked like her brother. Both dogs were taken to the local shelter and when they weren’t claimed there, Pebbles made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she should take her time finding the perfect new home. Her brother, who was much bigger than she was, was saved by another rescue. Pebbles is still very much of a puppy with lots to learn. She is super-friendly with people and loves to flop over for belly rubs when meeting someone new. Pebbles has been working on her leash skills and getting better each day. She still can get tangled around her handler’s legs when she’s acting silly so care must be taken not to get tripped up on walks. Pebbles has been doing well with crate-training in her foster home and will need to continue that as she works on her house manners in her new home. She would do best in a home where her people are around much of the time to give her lots of attention. Pebbles has gotten along well with dogs since she’s been here with us but it may take her a few minutes to warm up to a new dog. So far, she seems to want to play with dogs that are smaller than she is. The shelter she came from told us that Pebbles passed her cat test there so she may be fine living in a home with kitties. This beautiful pup is going to make an outstanding companion for the active person or family who has the time to devote to working with a young dog. Pebbles weighs about 40 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Pebbles. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
