Phoenix-ADOPTED!

Phoenix is one great dog! We just can’t say enough good things about this friendly 4 year-old Border Collie/Lab mix male. Phoenix was one of many dogs living in a hoarding situation in a rural area. We don’t know how long he’d been there but he and his buddies were lucky that their owner agreed to surrender them to the county shelter so they would get a chance at a much better life. In spite of having largely been neglected in the past, Phoenix has a great attitude. He loves meeting new people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and seems to be grateful for the simple things in life—regular tasty meals, a comfy bed, and humans with a kind touch. Phoenix has so much potential and is going to be so grateful to the person or family who really shows him how wonderful a dog’s life can and should be. He has excellent crate manners so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. He would love having a canine pal in his new home as he does love playing chase and wrestling with his fellow foster dogs. With a little more practice on the leash, Phoenix will soon be walking like a pro and ready for lots of fun adventures in his new home. Phoenix weighs about 42 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Phoenix. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
