Poppy is an adorable 8 month-old Lab/Mountain Cur mix spayed female with a bobtail. She found herself homeless at a rural county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so that she could take her time finding the perfect new home. Poppy is still very much of a puppy. She loves to play with other dogs, people, and toys. She has been working on crate-training and housetraining in her foster home and will need to continue both in her new home. She would do best in a home where she could go outside midday. Being left alone for long workdays would not be to her liking as Poppy likes to have fun. She would probably enjoy regular trips to doggie daycare to have some fun while her family is at work. She walks pretty well on a leash for a youngster and will make a great hiking buddy for an active person or family. Poppy weighs about 29 pounds currently but is still growing. We expect she’ll be 35-40 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Poppy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
