Meet Preston, a very spunky 8 year-old Terrier mix male whose spirit and energy level are more in line with an 8 month-old. This guy was brought into a shelter as an emaciated stray with a horribly matted coat. He was shaved at the shelter and made the trip from there to Canine Lifeline so he could get lots of TLC before finding a permanent new home. Preston has totally made himself at home in his foster home. As he’s been gaining weight and feeling better, he now engages in games of chase and wrestles with his fellow foster dogs. His current best friend is a 4 month-old pup who Preston has no problem keeping up with! Once playtime is over, Preston settles down nicely in his crate for a snooze. He’s got a great appetite and is working on adding a few pounds to his current weight of 11 pounds. Preston is a quick learner and very eager to please although he does have lots of Terrier moxie when it comes to voicing his opinions. Preston can’t wait to experience how wonderful his life is going to be once he finds his forever family. His adoption fee is $150. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Preston has recently had a dental cleaning so he now flashes a pearly white smile. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Preston. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
