This gorgeous redhead is Pumpkin, a 10 month-old girl who looks like a mix of Brittany Spaniel and ???. Her breed mix really is anyone’s guess but her beautiful red and white coat are reminiscent of a Brittany. She has a short coat though and airplane ears suggesting there might be something like Mountain Cur in the mix. Whatever breed mix she is, Pumpkin is one very nice girl. She came to us as a very shy stray from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter but has really blossomed in her foster home. She had no idea what a leash was for at first but is now walking very nicely and, with daily practice, will soon be walking like a pro. Pumpkin has excellent crate manners so should pick up the housetraining rules quickly in her new home. She LOVES to play with other dogs so needs a home where she will have an active canine pal to keep her busy. Pumpkin was adopted but recently returned because she had too much energy for the other dog in the home. She will need a canine buddy who can keep pace with her. Pumpkin is also very affectionate with her human friends and is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Pumpkin weighs about 25 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Pumpkin. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
