Quigley is a shy but very sweet 10 month-old Cattledog/Lab mix neutered male with gorgeous markings. He came into a shelter as a very timid stray pup about 3 months ago. Due to his shyness in the shelter environment, no one chose to make Quigley a member of their family so the shelter reached out for help with him. Quigley came to Canine Lifeline for a change of scenery and a better chance at finding his forever home. This sweet boy gets along well with other dogs and seems to especially enjoy the company of dogs smaller than he is. According to the shelter, he is cat-friendly too so might be fine living in a home with kitties. Given his shyness, we do want to place Quigley in a home with a canine buddy as he seems much more comfortable and confident when he’s around other dogs. He will also need a home with a yard with a secure aboveground fence. Quigley walks pretty well on a leash but will likely be nervous walking in a busy area. He would do well living in a home in a more quiet, rural area as it’s likely that lots of traffic and the bustle of city life would be overwhelming for him. Quigley has done well with crate-training in his foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules with some patient and consistent direction on the part of his new family. The person or family who has the time and patience to give Quigley the chance to relax and live his best life will be rewarded with a loyal companion for years to come. Quigley weighs about 50 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Quigley. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
