Rascal is an adorable 2 year-old Pug mix male with a cute underbite and curly tail. He was scheduled for euthanasia at an overcrowded county dog shelter after it was discovered that he was heartworm positive. Fortunately, the shelter contacted us for help with him and Rascal made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could get the lifesaving treatment that he needed. Rascal went through treatment in June and did very well with that so is now ready to find himself a great new home. He’s been the perfect little gentleman in his foster home—excellent crate manners, great with other dogs, and a nice walker on a leash. He’s going to make an outstanding companion for someone who wants a very loyal and devoted dog in a small frame. Rascal weighs about 17 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Rascal. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.

Rascal’s heartworm treatment cost about $750. If you’d like to make a donation to help with his medical expenses, please do so on our website at www.caninelifeline.org or by sending a check to Canine Lifeline, PO Box 25742, Garfield Hts OH 44125. Thank you from Rascal and Canine Lifeline!
