Rider-ADOPTED!

Looking to add some puppy energy to your life? Rider is ready to do just that! This adorable 8 month-old Chocolate Lab mix pup found himself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could have fun in a foster home while searching for his perfect new home. He’s got beautiful markings and a short tail that’s about half as long as most dogs so not sure where that came from. Rider is a bright-eyed, alert pup who has loads of personality. He LOVES squeaky toys and playing with his fellow foster dogs is at the top of his to-do list every day, Rider would really enjoy a home where he’d have a live-in canine buddy so he could have lots of fun every day. Once playtime is over, he settles down nicely in his crate for a snooze. Rider has had excellent crate manners so with some patient and positive direction on the part of his new family, should soon have the housetraining routine mastered in his new home. He seems to be a quick study and is close to having the sit command down pat. He’s working on his leash skills and with some daily practice in his new home, will soon be walking like a pro. Rider needs an active person or family who has plenty of time to spend with him and who can provide all the training and exercise he needs each and every day so he can live his very best life. He wouldn’t enjoy being left alone for long workdays. Rider weighs about 33 pounds currently but will likely be 40+ pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $375. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
