Rio-ADOPTED!

Rio is a very handsome Beagle mix pup who is one of a litter of 6 who were turned into a high kill county dog shelter. We don’t know if they came in as strays or owner surrenders but fortunately a neighboring humane society pulled the pups to safety and contacted us for help with them. They have been enjoying life in a foster home for the last few weeks and are now ready to find themselves permanent new homes. They’re estimated to be about 14 weeks old. Rio is one of the larger pups weighing 10.9 pounds when he was neutered on 3-27-19. We expect he may be about 30-40 pounds once full-grown. Rio is a typically sweet and loving puppy who enjoys playing with his siblings and toys as well as snuggling with his human friends once playtime is over. Rio is not housetrained yet but has been working on using pee pads in his foster home. Now that the weather is warming up, he’s ready to start working on outdoor housetraining in his new home. Puppies are adorable but require a lot of time and effort so please make sure your schedule allows you to get the puppy outside at least every 2 hours during the day before considering adding a puppy to your family. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Rio. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
