This bright-eyed and alert 1 year-old Shepherd mix girl is Roxie, a sweet pup who’s sure to keep you on your toes. Roxie found herself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to work on finding the perfect new home. The shelter gave her an outstanding recommendation and she hasn’t disappointed! Roxie is very friendly with both other dogs and people—she thinks everyone would love to be her friend! She loves to play with other dogs and can keep up with the best of them so would enjoy having a canine pal in her new home or regular trips to doggie daycare. Roxie does settle down nicely in her crate after playtime is over and has excellent crate manners. She may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Roxie will need an active family and plenty of exercise each day. She would also love to enroll in an obedience class with her new family so that she can learn to be the best pup she can be. Roxie weighs about 35 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Roxie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
