Sassy is a very sweet and friendly 2 year-old Black Lab mix female with long legs and a slim build. She was adopted from a county dog shelter as a puppy but recently returned due to her owner’s health problems. We don’t know what kind of life Sassy led with her previous owner but upon arrival here with us, we found that Sassy did not like her crate so probably wasn’t used to being crated in the past. After some weeks with us, Sassy is doing much better in her crate as she does eat in there and really looks forward to mealtime so the crate is now a positive place for her. Still, we expect that she would much prefer to have a new family who is able to be with her much of the time. She wouldn’t do well as an only dog left alone for long workdays. Sassy has never met a stranger and has been friendly wth all dogs and people that she’s met since coming to us to find a new home. She keeps her crate spotless and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Sassy is going to make a very loyal and devoted companion for the person or family who is able to give her the love and attention that she deserves and desires. Sassy weighs about 56 pounds but is underweight and working on reaching her ideal weight of about 65 pounds. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Sassy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
