Sassy-ADOPTED!

Sassy is a beautiful 4 year-old Pomeranian/Pekingese mix female with the prettiest soft coat. She came to us from a county dog shelter after she had been surrendered there by her female owner who was homeless and not able to care for her as cold weather approached. Sassy is very shy and reserved at first when meeting new people but it doesn’t take her long to warm up once she knows someone wants to be her friend. She has been tolerant of other dogs her size in her foster home although she seems to prefer not to be around them. She does seem to be fearful of larger dogs. We do want to place her in a quiet mature home as an only dog as she prefers the company of people over other dogs. Sassy bonds very closely with her person so does need a home where someone is around most of the time. We’ve found that she does not like to be left alone. Perhaps this is due to her living with a homeless person who was with her all the time. Once she’s comfortable with someone, Sassy is very cuddly and loves to snuggle. In the right situation, she’s going to make such a good friend for her new person or family! Sassy weighs about 18 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Sassy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
