Sawyer is a handsome and very loving 3 year-old Lab/Shepherd mix male who was left in a rural county dog shelter’s overnight drop box along with his brother Monroe. From the shelter, both boys made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for permanent new homes. Although we don’t know what their pre-shelter life was like, we’ve found both Sawyer and Monroe to be kind, gentle, and very well-mannered dogs. They get along beautifully together and will even share a food bowl without any issues. If you’re looking for a pair of really nice dogs, Sawyer and Monroe would love to meet you. Both dogs have had excellent crate manners and may be housetrained although we can’t guarantee it. They walk nicely on a leash and have gained enough confidence now since coming to us to go for a walk individually. We have been extremely impressed with these boys and know that you will be too once you meet them. Sawyer weighs about 60 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Sawyer. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
