Scarlett is a beautiful 13 week-old Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix pup who was found in a ditch at 6 weeks-of age along with her three siblings. The pups were rescued and put in a foster home for a couple of weeks before making the trip to Canine Lifeline. Unfortunately, within a day or two of their arrival here with us, the litter broke with parvo. We’re happy to report that Scarlett had a mild case, has made a full recovery, and is now ready to find herself a great permanent home. This bright-eyed and alert cutie is one busy puppy so does need an active person or family who can keep up with her. She’s a smart little pup who learns things quickly so it would be great fun for her family to work with her on obedience and trick-training. Scarlett loves playing with her littermates and toys of all kinds. She would certainly enjoy having a canine buddy in her new home who could show her the ropes and be her daily playmate. Scarlett does need a family who is home much of the time so they can continue to work with her on housetraining. She wouldn’t do well left alone for long workdays. If you’ve got the time and energy to raise an active young pup, Scarlett would love to meet you! She weighs about 18 pounds currently and she is likely to be 40+ pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $400. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations for her age including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Scarlett. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
