Scarlett-ADOPTED!

Scarlett is a very sweet and loving 1.5 year-old Black Mouth Cur mix girl who has definitely had a rough life. She was found as a stray in very poor condition. It looked as though she had recently finished nursing a litter of pups and was painfully thin. No one came forward to claim Scarlett so she came to Canine Lifeline so she could get lots of TLC in a foster home while searching for a permanent new home where she’ll be treated like a treasured member of her new family. In spite of her rough past, Scarlett is very friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs too. She has most likely lived the majority of her life outdoors so is now relishing the comforts of a warm, cozy indoor home which is something we all take for granted but is new to her. Scarlett will need to continue to work on crate-training and housetraining in her new home but she’s very eager to please and should soon have the house rules mastered with some patient and positive direction on the part of her new family. She would do best with someone who is home much of the time to help her adjust to her new life. Scarlett has been working on her leash skills and is realizing how much fun it is to go for a walk with her human friends. We can’t wait to see this sweet dog blossom in her new home and live the life she could only have imagined until recently. Scarlett weighs about 27 pounds currently but is very thin and needs to gain about 10 pounds to reach her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $325. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Scarlett. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
