Meet Scooby, an 11 month-old Shepherd mix male who’s one big overgrown lovable pup. Scooby was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter by his owner who didn’t have time for him so Scooby made the trip to Canine Lifeline to find the perfect new home. This sweet boy was a staff favorite at the shelter and he has certainly made lots of friends since coming to Canine Lifeline. Scooby has all the exuberance and enthusiasm of a pup with a very kind and loving disposition. He loves playing with toys and other dogs so would certainly enjoy having a canine buddy in his new home. For a big puppy, Scooby walks quite well on a leash and is looking forward to going on lots of walks and hikes with his new family. He would probably make a good jogging pal with a little practice too. Scooby has had excellent crate manners in his foster home so we expect he should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. He’s going to make a fabulous companion for one very lucky person or family with an active lifestyle. Scooby weighs about 55 pounds now but looks bigger than that. We expect he’ll be 65-70 pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
