Scout is one of a litter of Border Collie mix pups who were surrendered to a county dog shelter in mid-December at about 6 weeks of age. He and his littermates made the trip from the overcrowded shelter to Canine Lifeline so they could enjoy lots of TLC in a foster home until they were old enough to find permanent homes. Scout is now about 9-10 weeks old and eager to find his very own home. This gorgeous pup is your typically sweet, playful, energetic, and rambunctious puppy but he also loves to be held and cuddled once playtime is over. He is not housetrained and needs to find a home where his family is able to let him outside about every 2 hours or so during the day so he can work on that. Scout weighs about 8.5 pounds now and we expect he’ll be in the 40-60 pound range once full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on monthly heartworm preventative, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Scout. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we do not place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
