Scout-ADOPTED!

Scout is a super-cute 13 week-old Bloodhound mix pup with the most interesting markings on his face. His mama is a 68 pound Bloodhound and his daddy is thought to be a Lab/Shepherd mix. Scout and his four siblings were part of an unwanted litter and were shelter bound when the shelter director told the family to hang onto the pups until a rescue could be found for them. We were contacted for help with this adorable crew and they came to us in March. They’ve been enjoying life in a foster home since their arrival and are now ready to find homes of their very own. Even though the mama dog’s owner is keeping her, Canine Lifeline has covered the cost of her spay so she won’t be adding anymore pups into an already overcrowded world. Scout and his littermates are all very well-socialized pups with people and other dogs. They love attention and are super-huggable. His long soft ears are just like velvet. Scout is going to need a home with a person or family who is home much of the time to work with him on housetraining. He cannot be left alone for long workdays. Scout is about to start leash training so a big wide world of exploring and great scents will soon be open to him. If you love the kind gentle, disposition of Hounds and have the time to raise a puppy, Scout might just be your new best friend. His eye-catching markings are sure to turn a lot of heads when he’s out for a walk in his new neighborhood. Scout weighs about 20 pounds currently and may be 70+ pounds once full-grown. His adoption fee is $400. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations for his age including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Scout. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
