This adorable 1 year-old pup with the beautiful markings is Simba. Simba looks like a mix of Beagle and Sheltie and is a great size at about 18 pounds. We don’t have any history on this youngster as he came to us as a stray from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. He loves other dogs and plays nicely with his fellow foster pals so would probably enjoy a home with another canine friend or two. Simba can be a little mouthy with his human friends so will need a dog-experienced family who can teach him good canine manners. He would do best in an all-adult home. A home with dog savvy teenagers might also suit him. We introduced him to cats and he told us he doesn’t like them, so he will need a cat-free home. Simba loves going for a walk and does quite well on the leash. His adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Simba. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
