Simba-ADOPTED!

Meet Simba, a very friendly and outgoing 1 year-old Boxer/Husky mix male with charming mismatched ears who’s still very much of a puppy. This handsome guy was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter by his owner. We have no information on the circumstances that led to Simba losing his home, but we have found him to be a really nice dog. Since arriving at Canine Lifeline to work on finding his true forever home, Simba has been friendly with all people that he’s met and other dogs too. He LOVES wrestling with other dogs his size but can be a rough player so any canine buddy in his new home would need to enjoy that style of play. Simba is able to tone it down when he’s around smaller dogs so hasn’t been overbearing with them. For an active young dog, Simba walks pretty well on a leash once the initial exuberance associated with going out for a walk settles down. He would do best with a harness as he works on his leash skills. Simba has had excellent crate manners in his foster home so we expect he should be able to master the house rules quickly in his new home. This happy-go-lucky, friend to all is going to make an outstanding companion for one active and very lucky person or family. He looks forward to exploring all the great parks and hiking trails that Northeast OH has to offer. Simba weighs about 50 pounds but is thin and working on gaining a few pounds to be at his ideal weight. He has a great appetite so should reach his goal in short order. His adoption fee is $250. Simba is neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Simba. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
