Skye-PENDING

This stunning beauty is Skye, a 5-6 month-old Husky mix female who was found running down a busy highway with her sister Star. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan rescued the two girls before something tragic happened and got them to safety at a local shelter. When they weren’t claimed, both Skye and Star made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could take her time finding perfect new homes. Skye has the most interesting markings-absolutely gorgeous! She also posed like a pro for her photos and is just an incredibly nice dog. Skye is a typical playful, mischievous puppy though so don’t let those model-like poses fool you! She loves wrestling and playing chase with sister and other foster dogs. Skye has also never met a toy she doesn’t like. She might be a little more chill than her silly sister Star. Skye has been working on crate-training in her foster home and will need to continue that along with housetraining in her adoptive home. She will need a family who is home much of the time so that she get can outside every couple of hours during the day as she works on her house manners. Skye is a smart girl who can climb out of an exercise pen so will need a yard with a tall fence to keep her safe at home. She is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is going to make a great companion for an active person or family. Skye weighs about 32 pounds currently and we expect she’ll be in the 50-60 pound range once she’s full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Skye. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
