Sofia is a wonderful 3 year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix spayed female with a sweet, loving disposition, adorable underbite, and cute black ears. She came into a shelter in early November as a pregnant stray. Sofia immediately went into a foster home there where she gave birth to 8 pups on Nov 9. Sofia took great care of her pups and once they were weaned, the whole family made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could work on finding permanent homes of their own. Sofia has been an absolutely delightful guest in her foster home with us. She has excellent crate manners so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. Sofia gets along well with other dogs and according to her previous foster family, is cat friendly and will try to get kitties to play with her too. She loves toys of all kinds and enjoys playing fetch. Sofia fancies herself a lap dog and loves snuggling with her people every chance she gets. She is very food motivated and will sit nicely for a treat. Sofia loves riding in the car and looks forward to lots of fun adventures with her new family. She is quite strong on the leash at this point so will need to work on her leash manners. Walking her with an Easy Walk harness is a huge improvement and is advised as she works on her leash skills. Sofia weighs about 45 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Sofia. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please be sure to watch Sofia’s video!
