Spencer is a very friendly 3 year-old Mountain Cur mix neutered male who spent much of his life on a chain and is now ready to live a dog’s dream with a new family. This is one very nice dog who is calm, easy-going, and a real joy to be around. Spencer gets along very well with other dogs so would enjoy having a canine buddy or two in his new home. He has met kitties and pretty much ignored them so might be fine living in a home with cats. Spencer has done very well with crate-training in his foster home and should continue that in his new home. With some positive and consistent direction, Spencer should have housetraining down pat quickly in his new home. Spencer is eager to accompany his new family on long walks, jogs, or hikes and can’t wait to see what the world holds for him now that his horizons go beyond the end of a chain. Spencer was adopted from us about a year ago but recently returned because he was not comfortable with young children who were visiting in his home. We do want to place him in a mature home with no kids. Older teenagers would be fine. Spencer weighs about 38 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Spencer. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
