Meet Stanley, an animated 6 year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix male who came to Canine Lifeline to find a new home after he was an unclaimed stray at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. We don’t have any history on Stanley’s previous life but we have found him to be a very attentive and affectionate little guy once he’s comfortable with someone. He came to us with a cherry eye in his right eye and his photos were taken shortly after the surgery. Stanley has gotten along well with the other dogs in his foster home but hasn’t really wanted to play with them. He might be fine in a home as an only dog but will need a home without children. He’s been the perfect gentleman in his foster home but didn’t appreciate being restrained during his exam at the vet. Stanley has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. This sweet boy loves giving out kisses to his foster mom and will be as devoted to his adoptive family too. Stanley weighs about 14 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Stanley. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
