This gorgeous 1 year-old Aussie mix girl is Stella. She was surrendered to a rural county dog shelter by her owner who said she didn’t do well with the chickens on the property. That proved to be a lucky break for Stella since she tested positive for heartworms once she was pulled from the shelter. Had she stayed in her previous home she would likely have died a painful death from heart failure. Fortunately, she came to us in time so has received the lifesaving treatment that she needed. Being a young dog, she has done very well with her treatment—no complications– and is now ready to find herself a permanent home. Stella is every bit as sweet and loving as she is beautiful. She gets along great with other dogs and makes fast friends with new people too. Stella also loves squeaky toys of all kinds and is good at keeping herself entertained by throwing them around. She has excellent crate manners so should pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. Stella walks nicely on a leash and knows the sit command. She is a smart girl who learns things quickly and picks up new routines with ease. Stella is going to make an outstanding companion for one very lucky person or family. Stella weighs about 45 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Stella. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
