Storm

Looking for a calm, gentle guy? Then Storm just might be your new best friend. This very handsome and well-mannered 2 year-old Lab mix male was surrendered to an overcrowded rural county dog shelter by his owner who could no longer care for him. We don’t know what circumstances caused Storm to lose his home but this boy seems to have been well-cared for in the past. Storm was a natural in front of the camera and posed to nicely for his photos. He knows some commands including sit, down, and shake hands and perhaps more that we haven’t discovered yet. Storm has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He walks nicely on a leash and will be a great walking or hiking buddy for his new family. Storm can be a little unsure of himself around other dogs so might have lived in his previous home as an only dog. Once he realizes that a dog isn’t going to do him any harm, he relaxes and does fine with them. He seems to prefer his canine pals on the calm, quiet side. Rowdy young dogs seem to be overwhelming for Storm, at least at this point. Storm is very affectionate with his human friends and is going to make an outstanding and very devoted companion for one lucky person or family. Storm weighs about 53 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Storm. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
