Looking for an active dog who will be a great walking, jogging, or hiking buddy? That’s our Susie, a 2 year-old, 23 pound Pointer/Beagle mix female who’s got lots of energy and a sense of adventure. She came to us as a stray from a rural county dog shelter so we don’t have any history on her previous life. She’s a very active young dog who spends the days in her foster home playing chase and wrestling with her fellow foster dogs. Susie likes to be busy and wouldn’t do well left alone for long workdays. She does settle down nicely in her crate for a nap once playtime is over but will need a family who can make sure she gets plenty of exercise each day. She keeps her crate spotless so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Susie is going to make a great pal for someone who has the time and energy to devote to an active young dog. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Susie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
