Sylvie

Sylvie is a gorgeous 13 week-old Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix pup who was found in a ditch at about 6 weeks of age along with her three siblings. The pups were rescued and put in a foster home for a couple of weeks before making the trip to Canine Lifeline. Unfortunately, within a day or two of arriving here with us, the litter broke with parvo. Fortunately, Sylvie had a mild case and has now recovered completely. She’s a big strapping active pup who loves to play with her siblings and toys of all kinds. Sylvie will need a very active home as this pup likes to stay busy. Given her breed mix, she will ultimately need a job to do which could be as simple as hiking and jogging with her active family daily. As pretty as they are, Cattle Dogs are not couch potatoes so need lots of exercise, socialization, and training to live their very best lives. Sylvie has been working on pee pad training and housetraining in her foster home and will need to continue both in her adoptive home. She would love having an active canine buddy to pal around with in her new home. Sylvie does need a family who can be home with her much of the time as she wouldn’t do well left alone for long workdays. If you’ve got the time and energy to raise a busy young pup, Sylvie would love to meet you! She weighs about 21 pounds currently and is likely to be 40+ pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $400. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations for her age including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Sylvie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
