Tapper is a handsome 5 year-old Beagle who’s eager to find himself a great new home. He came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray with a hematoma on his left ear. Once that was treated, Tapper was ready to find himself a permanent new home and is searching for just that with Canine Lifeline. This boy is very dog-friendly and has gotten along well with all other dogs he’s met since coming to us. He has done well with crate-training and should pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. Tapper is very food-motivated (not surprising for a Beagle!) and will definitely work for yummy treats. He loves to go for walks and is eager to check out all of the great scents in his new neighborhood. Tapper needs to work on his leash skills a little bit but with a harness or Gentle Leader is sure to be walking like a pro in no time. This sweet boy definitely deserves to live his life as a treasured family member and we’re looking forward to seeing him do just that. Tapper weighs about 24 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Tapper. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
